Court procedure varies, and a short reference table cannot capture every exception that might apply to you.

Accuracy and changes

We compile limits and fees from state court rules and statutes and review them periodically, but figures change when legislatures amend court rules and when counties add surcharges. We make no warranty that any figure is current, complete, or applicable to your facts. You are responsible for confirming the present limit and fee with the court clerk before relying on it, and for checking the local rules that govern your specific claim.

Limitation of liability

ClaimLimit and its editors are not liable for any loss, cost, or action arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information here. Filing in the wrong court, for the wrong amount, or after the deadline can forfeit a filing fee or bar refiling for the same claim. Verify every detail with the court before you act; the risk of acting on incomplete information is yours.

Acceptable use

You may read and cite the tables for personal or editorial use. You may not scrape the site at volume, resell the data as a standalone product, or present our compilation as your own original work. Automated bulk extraction that strains the server is prohibited.

Submissions

If you report a changed limit or fee, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use that correction to update the tables. We do not compensate submissions, and we may verify any reported figure against the underlying statute before publishing it.

Copyright

The compiled tables, explanatory text, and visual design on ClaimLimit are protected by copyright. You may reference them with attribution, but you may not republish the site wholesale or mirror it under another name without permission.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
